I went to the downtown Public Library today to check out some nautical books. After using their catalog, I noticed that all of the call numbers were in the science and industry section–previously uncharted territory for me, who typically roams the fiction, music, or Navajo art areas. Yet, my cross over to science paid off, as I came away with some real beauties. From How to Read Nautical charts to The Submarines of the World, here are some nice pages from some of these inspiring books.

From Ocean: The World's Last Wilderness Revealed

From The Old Man and the Sea

From Submarines of the World

From The World's Great Explorers: Jacques Cousteau

that library page is fantastic.
and i think the Jacques Cousteau/ Wes Anderson futura font choice is def worth noting. love it
